One of those methods is to hide WiFi networks. This method will help prevent others from using your Wi-Fi network illegally unless they know the SSID.

The SSID (Service Set Identifier) ​​is easily understood by the name of your Wi-Fi network. This is what helps users distinguish Wi-Fi networks especially in areas with multiple wireless networks.

SSID is automatically displayed when users want to access Wi-Fi, but the router has the function to turn off SSID. When you turn off the SSID, it means that other people will not be able to detect your Wi-Fi network.

Hiding SSID by turning off SSID playback can prevent unauthorized access to the network. However, don't let this fool your security awareness. A person with the necessary devices can still easily get your Wi-Fi network SSID.

How to hide SSID or hide WiFi network

As mentioned above, hiding WiFi network cannot guarantee the security of your WiFi network. However, at present, in some parts of the world, it is not required to show WiFi in public mode, so it is necessary to hide the SSID.

Depending on the router type and manufacturer, the way to hide SSID may vary because you need to access the Router configuration page to proceed with a different IP Router address. You only need to know the WiFi network IP address then proceed with the following actions as well.

Step 1:

In the web browser, we access the router's configuration page. Typically, the IP address will be in the form of http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1. Or more precisely, see the device for the IP address.

Step 2:

You enter the User login and password according to the information provided on the Router device or in the manual.

Next in the interface click on the Wireless item and then select Wireless Settings to install the wireless network. Look to the right to uncheck the Enable SSID Broadcast. Then click Save to save the changes.

The hidden WiFi, hidden WiFi network SSID is not a way for users to secure WiFi networks. It simply does not show the WiFi network name in the list of WiFI network detectors on laptop or mobile devices. Thus, we will only limit the situation of unauthorized access, access to "pagoda" on WiFi network.
